Wuyi Mountain one-day itinerary

One-day standard route in Wuyi Mountain: morning trip on a bamboo raft along the Jiuqu River to get stuck in the clouds, a view of Danxia at Tianyou Peak in the morning, Dahongpao Mother Tree Scenic Area in the afternoon, rock tea tasting at a tea factory in the evening; about 16,000 steps of walking and transfers throughout the day.

Two variables: bamboo rafting schedule and afternoon clouds and fog. The route is calculated backwards from the day before departure.

Reminder before departure

• If it fogs in the afternoon, switch Tianyou Peak and Mother Tree, and change to Meijia Tea Factory in the afternoon.
• Bamboo rafts are for 6 people per raft. Arrive at the pier 30 minutes in advance of the ticketed time slot
• The mountain road will be slippery on rainy days, so prepare non-slip shoes; adjust the order of climbing the mountain due to thunderstorm warning

FAQs

Can you complete Wuyi Mountain in one day?

The core area is fine, but in rainy and foggy days, we must be allowed to push the line backwards; it is better to cut off Xia Mei if we are greedy for everything and hurry up.
